Walking for a Great Cause! 6pm - 6am

Our Reason to Relay - Written by Tracy Scott

After my mom was diagnosed with cancer her favorite event was the Relay for Life. She enjoyed walking in the "survivor lap" That first year after her diagnosis she could barely make the whole lap, but she was determined. She said she looked at all those luminarias with her name on it and had to keep going. Unfortunately my mom finally succumbed to this horrible disease in 2008.

This past year I gave birth to a daughter of my own and so I gather this team together to walk not only in honor of my mom, but in honor of my little girl. That her generation may never know the ugliness of this disease that robbed her of precious time with her grandmother.
A Mother's Love is my team dedicated to the love between mother's and daughters everywhere.
Fighting cancer is a team effort. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone.

At the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, our team will take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society save more lives from cancer. By joining or donating to our team, you will be a part of a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
